A new year and time again for those new year resolutions – or rather wishes, projects, intentions for the new year. Here’s a wish list of just a few libraries I’d like to visit. Maybe not all of them this year, but hopefully the one or other of these:

- Library of Congress, Washington DC
- New York Public Library
- Stiftsbibliothek St. Gallen – again and again
- Stiftsbibliothek Admont
- Bibliothèque Nationale, Paris
- Österreichische Nationalbibliothek, Prunksaal, Wien – again, to take better photos this time…
- Bibliothek des Rechtswissenschaftlichen Institutes, Uni Zürich (Santiago Calatrava) - have been there several times but never with my camera
- Unibibliothek der BTU Cottbus (Herzog & De Meuron)
- Unibibliothek der Humboldt-Universität im Jacob-und-Wilhelm-Grimm-Zentrum, Berlin
- Herzogin Anna Amalia Bibliothek, Weimar
- Herzog August Bibliothek, Wolfenbüttel
- Stockholms stadtsbibliotek – again and this time with my camera
- Stockholms universitetsbibliotek – I used this library a lot during my exchange year at SU. Wonder if they still have those big, comfy reading chairs facing the window overlooking the green campus…

Of course there are many more libraries, great and small, worth visiting. I’m certainly looking forward to it
